Charles Kelley practices predominantly in the areas of bankruptcy and insolvency law. He represents debtors and creditors in all chapter of bankruptcy (7, 11, 12, and 13), focusing on primarily consumer and small business cases, as well as assisting parties work out solutions outside of the bankruptcy process. A lifelong resident of Gainesville, he began practicing law in 1993 with the firm of Whelchel & Dunlap. He left there in 1999 to start the firm of Maddox, Cummings & Kelley, and now Kelley & Clements. He is admitted to practice in all the courts of the state of Georgia as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia. Charles is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Northeastern Judicial Circuit Bar Association (Treasurer 1995-1997), the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.

Newsom Cummings focuses his practice in banking and real estate law. As a business lawyer, he regularly represents banks in Dawson and surrounding counties in secured lending, workouts, and litigation. Newsom began practicing in 1986 with the firm of McCurdy & Candler in Decatur, Georgia. After several years there he left Decatur for Gainesville and has been practicing in northeast Georgia ever since. Newsom is admitted to practice in all the courts of the state of Georgia as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Northeastern Judicial Circuit Bar Association. He is an active member of the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce, where he is on the Board of Directors, and he has recently completed a term as the Chairman of Dawson County United Way.

Prior to joining the firm, he was an attorney for one of the Chapter 13 Trustees in Atlanta. He is admitted to practice in all the courts of the state of Georgia as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
